A new life entered my life a few months ago when my son Ian was born. He's mine and my wife's first child and we couldn't be happier. He popped out a healthy, handsome, wrinkly, blond, lanky, 6 lb. 9 oz. confused, screamy, bundle of love who gets cuter by the day. He's made my life so much richer as each day we get to know each other a little better and I've come to the conclusion, I really like this guy.
Of course, as any parent knows, you get busy. REALLY busy. Parenting is all hands on deck and takes a LOT of your time. When you're used to doing what you want, when you want for decades, suddenly that spur of the moment sunrise photo opportunity gets a little harder to pull off. I'm learning how to reorganize my life and help it to be better than it was, as it should be with such a beautiful child. Did I mention this kid's really cute?
As I emerge from from the trenches of the first three months, I'm getting the spark back to start on new photographic projects and ideas. I'm hopeful it'll be a great year.
Here's a few shots I've taken over the last four months showing just how adorable this little guy is:
