End of August

In the past 2 weeks I've shot millions of dollars worth of classic automobiles, photographed the founder of Sam Adams beer, captured some beautiful interior bedroom images, traveled to Bristol, TN to film a NASCAR race team (while staying awake for 44 hours straight), edited countless hours of video interview footage, then finished up with a vacation swimming in shark-infested waters.   How’d your August end? Please visit my website: www.gperryimages.com Visit me on Facebook: The Photography of Glenn PerryAll Images Copyright © The Photography of Glenn Perry

Rob Fuller Motorsports and 15-40 Connection - Racing to Fight Cancer
Thursday, November 07, 2013
End of August

When most people think about victims of cancer, a picture of someone in their latter years usually comes to mind. Unfortunately, there's a large segment of the afflicted population, younger folks, that gets overlooked. 15-40 Connection is an incredible organization that spreads awareness of those aged 15 to 40 years old that have been affected by this terrible disease.Over this past year, I've been photographing fundraising efforts with them to help spread the word about early cancer detection. One such effort has been documenting this past racing season with the NASCAR Whelen Modified 15-40 Connection sponsored racing team of Rob Fuller Motorsports.Rob's family have been in the racing ...

What a Drag!

End of August

The latest Crypt Studios promo image "What a Drag!" came about when I was thinking of a new way to portray their company vehicle; a reaper-driven, death-black 1980 Cadillac Hearse. When are cars at their most exciting? Hmmmmmmm... when they race. What's a plausible race that would involve a hearse? Hmmmmmmm... a DRAG race. What's a meaty looking muscle machine that wouldn't be afraid to take on the "Car of Darkness"? Easy. A screaming red 1972 Dodge Charger driven by none other than Elizabeth Syn. And who better to kick this carnival off than the mighty, sexy, fire-breathing, tattooed model goddess Miss Mischief! Now when casting for these Crypt Studios promo shots I wasn't going to ...

Burying the Band

End of August

The band is dead. Literally. In a late evening frenzy, she drives to the back yard of a remote, abandoned haunted house to hide the evidence. The exhaustive digging begins when suddenly she looks up to see a light go on in the window with a shadowy figure peering down. Her secret's out... That's the premise of my latest Crypt Studios promo shot "Burying the Band". It's a caught-in-the-act theme with a dark edge and who better to have portray a heavy metal grave digger than the lovely Boston babe with the cool tattoos, Shelley C.! After pouring through countless modeling profiles, one woman really stood out as being stunningly beautiful and having a strikingly hip look to her. ...

End of August

What has a 500 c.i. motor, dual 800 carbs, an 871 human skull-induced blower, a Chevy 400 turbo transmission, a 9 inch Ford Detroit Locker rear end, and pounds out 800 horsepower? This vehicle: Who's lanky, pale, balding, and foaming at the mouth to photograph it? Well, ME of course!!! I was honored to have the privilage of spending some time with this mean machine and its very cool, down to earth owner. The photograph was a year in the making, having first seen this beauty (which is actually all hand-forged and registered as a 1925 Ford pickup) at the New England Summer Nationals in Worcester, MA last year. I knew I needed to shoot it but logistics kept me from doing so until this July ...

Cycle Slayer!

End of August

Lilith Astaroth. What can I say? She's as complex as she is talented. She models cosplay, steampunk, latex, fetish, you name it. She's amazing at all of them. She acts, she dances, she writes, she plays video games, and oh ya, did I mention she also fronts and sings for the death metal band Sorrowseed? This girl is busy and when not modeling, traveling, or touring with the band, she's always somewhere interesting just being very cool.On the surface, Lilith is one of the nicest, kindest people you'll ever meet. You just want to hang with her. She's calm and professional. However, when she's in front of an audience or that camera is turned onto her, it's another story. She can emit these ...

End of August

So there are these guys. Good guys. They mean business. Music business to be exact. The also know what it's like to be in a young struggling band, trying to navigate the colossal voyage of getting a band off the ground with no money, no guidance, no producer, no manager, no rehearsal space, no quality recording, and a mountain to move to try and get noticed. That was 20 years ago.Now they're older, wiser, and have a keen understanding of what tools a band needs to give them a shot at success. Enter Crypt Studios. A one stop complex for musicians, by musicians, that offers everything a band could desire to help them along and up the ladder of fame and fortune. Rehearsal spaces, state of the ...

End of August

Though The Collings Foundation is most known for its collection of flying military aircraft, many who have not visited haven't laid eyes on their incredible automotive collection. This Father's Day weekend, the cars will finally be out on display for the public to see. Collings Foundation Race Car Collection
Thursday, December 15, 2011
End of August

Recently, I had the exciting opportunity to photograph a race car collection at The Collings Foundation in Stow, MA. They are a great organization that collects, restores, and actively flys and drives these amazing, historic aircraft and vehicles. They have the only actively flying B-24 Liberator bomber from WWII in the world. My grandfather Harold Simmons, who was a B-24 pilot in the big war, loved and frequently visited the foundation and got to know them. Eventually, they flew him and my grandmother from New Hampshire to Worcester, MA in that Liberator, making him one of the happiest men alive. When he recently passed away, they made it a point to repeatedly buzz his ...

Slot Car Photography - My Inner Geek

End of August

We all have our inner enthusiest (geek) to express and well, mine emerges in the form of slot cars. I even have my own 80’ 1/32 scale Scalextric Digital track. Total nutcase. It wasn’t long before slot cars and photography were to collide when I was contacted by Electric Dreams, a major and completely awesome U.S. slot car empire. They asked me to contribute some of my slot photography for a feature in their newsletter. Here’s the result: http://www.electricdreams.com/Slot-Car-Collecting-and-Racing-News/slot-car-news/great-model-slot-car-raceway  Also, here's a link to a Facebook gallery of the images: Breaknek Raceway Any geeks out there? Please visit ...
